We’re delighted to confirm that AdventureX will return on Sat 11th and Sun 12th November 2017.
The UK’s only convention dedicated to narrative-driven gaming will be back in London for a weekend dedicated to interactive fiction; exploration games; visual novels and more. This July/August, we are running a Kickstarter Campaign to raise funds for the event.
AdventureX 2017 will be free for both visitors and exhibitors. The Kickstarter is a chance for former and future attendees to show their support for the event and receive some rewards including Papercraft Figurines and Mystery Steam Keys.
This year we are also offering a limited edition Guest List reward, which guarantees entry if you arrive before 12pm. You don’t have to get on the Guest List; we will be sure to hold back spaces for people who arrive early and join the queue.
We will be announcing speakers as they are confirmed. At this point, we’re excited to be welcoming:
- Jon Ingold (80 Days, Sorcery!)
- Rolf Saxon (voice of Broken Sword’s George Stobbart)
- Dave Gilbert (The Blackwell Series)
- Doug Cockle (voice of Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher Series)
- More TBC…
(Speakers and schedule subject to change.)
This month, we’ve opened applications for Speakers, Exhibitors and Volunteers. Get involved!
Applications will close shortly after the Kickstarter ends in mid-August, and we will announce our full schedule in early October. Note: You don’t have to apply if you want to attend as a visitor!
AdventureX will take place at Goldsmiths University of London in New Cross, South East London. The venue is a few minutes’ walk from both New Cross Gate and New Cross train stations, and not far from Deptford Bridge DLR Station. For more information visit this page.
In 2017 AdventureX is being led by indie developers Tom Cole (Scheduling) Rebecca McCarthy (Social Media) and Alasdair Beckett-King (Fundraising). AdventureX was founded in 2011 by Mark Lovegrove, owner of development/publishing company Screen 7.
